HISTORY
The Startup Building is an old Candy Factory built by the Startup Family in 1898. The Startup candy Company was at one time one of the biggest exporters from the state of Utah employing hundreds utahns. They made some of the most innovative candies the world had ever seen at that time including the first candy bar with a candy filling, chocolates with a Coca-Cola filling, magnolias perfume candies, and the classic suckers that they still sell today online as well at Rockwell Ice Cream and Sundance Resort. We believe that the Startup Building is the best place for you to start your journey as a married couple!

We know how hard it can be to choose a venue. Size, style, price, location, policies, parking, tables, chairs, space to get ready, catering restrictions etc all go into the decision making process. It can be hard to keep it all straight. We did some comparison with what we felt were the 4 most similar venues in Provo. The one venue that we left out of our comparisons is our sister venue The Bright Building which is very similar to the Startup Building. All of these venues are very similar size, include lots of furniture, AV equipment, similar policies on alcohol, guest capacities, and similar refund and catering policies. Parking Comparison
Parking is an important aspect of the logistics of your wedding day. You want your guests to be comfortable, have an easy time parking and arrive stress free. The Startup Building has 2 private parking lots with 56 private spaces as well as ample street parking. There is also nearly unlimited parking at the front runner station across the street with a newly constructed pedestrian bridge equipped with an elevator for easy access.
